Our 6 Point Plan to Stop The Boats

1.     Withdraw from the ECHR and replace with a British Bill of Rights focused on the rights of British citizens.

2.     Create a new dedicated department of immigration to sidestep the existing civil service.

3.     Clear the backlog of claims down to a few days. Swift removal would be a deterrent to fraudulent claimants. Set up processing centres with dedicated courts to enable swift adjudication and removal.

4.     Create a new naval immigration border force specifically designed to turn boats back and return them immediately to their departure point. This is permitted under article 33 of the convention on maritime law

5.     Stop wasting time trying to process asylum claims in a third country. No judge will ever approve removal to a third country which isn’t a developed country. If the third country was a developed country then it wouldn’t even be a deterrent.

6.     Introduce scrutiny on Supreme Court Judge appointments.
